GILLSVILLE – Perry Cecil Seymour, 78, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Elbert County on March 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Edward Clay and Addie Lucille Dickerson Seymour. He was a retired pulpwood worker in the logging industry and was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church in Gillsville. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Seymour was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Hall Seymour; and brothers, Thomas and James Seymour.
Survivors include a son, James Keith Dickerson, Gillsville; daughter, Karen McDowell, Bowman; sisters, Betty Harris and Marcie Maxwell, both of Bowman; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Gilmer officiating. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
