CLEVELAND – Mary Sue Bettis Grizzle, 80, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at a private nursing home, following a period of declining health.
Born in Forsyth County on August 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Roy Henry Bettis and Lemay May Goss. Mrs. Grizzle was preceded in death by her husband, Toy Grizzle; daughter, Linda Mull, and brothers, Marcus Bettis and Henry Bettis.
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Jean Perry, Maysville, Betty Ann Tabor, West Virginia; sons, Vernon Grizzle and Larry Grizzle, both of Maysville; brothers, James Bettis and George Bettis; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with the Revs. Chad Rising and Terry Hagwood officiating. Burial will be in Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 7, from 4 to 9 p.m.
