Ollie Burgess

ATHENS – Ollie Burgess, 86, died Friday, April 3, 2009.

A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late M.P. and Clara Daniel Wall. She was employed at Thomas Textile and retired from Superior Paints as an inspector. She was a member of the Oconee Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Debora Sickles, Athens, Freda and Wayne Hewell, Hull; grandchildren, Donna and Tyrone Taylor and Tammy and Doug Carver; great-grandchildren, Ashley Dellinger, Amber Dellinger, Destinie Taylor, Brian Dellinger Jr., Breanna Taylor and Emily Carver.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 6, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with the Revs. Lisa Cain and Billy Fowler officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
