WINDER - Winford ‘Peanut’ Williamson, 79, died Friday, April 3, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late Beverett R. and Annie Mae Wright Williamson. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Jean Martin; daughter, Lynda Standridge; and son, Timothy Williamson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Vestia Williamson, Bristol, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Mark Reeves, Winder; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eloise and Bill Franklin and Helen and Bobby Kimbrell, all of Winder, and Reba and Jack Segars, Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 5, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel, with Dr. Jack Segars and the Rev. Wilburn Hill officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
