ROYSTON – Jack Glenn Royston, 85, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Franklin County, on January 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Floyd and Tecora Fowler Royston. He was self-employed in the shaving industry and was a member of Franklin Springs Baptist Church. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Royston was preceded in death by his wife, Delcie Freeman Royston; and a brother, John Milford Royston.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pam Royston, Royston; grandchildren, Rusty Royston and Bridgett Moorhead; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nealie Manley and Florine Thomas, both of Royston.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, at 4 p.m. in the Franklin Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Bearden and Darvin Cash officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
