WINDER - Dorothy “Virginia” Brown, 67, died Monday, March 30, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey, Sr. and Ruby Lee Wilson. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Brown; and sisters, Martha Harbin and Nancy Hardy. A member of Barrow Worship Center, she was retired from Mitsubishi.
Survivors include a son, Allen Brown, Winder; daughters, Susan B. Robinson, Dahlonega, and Shawna Reed, Winder; five grandchildren; brothers, Hugh Wilson Jr., Greensboro, Jimmy and Mark Wilson, both of Winder; sisters Janice Yaptengco, Annette Mangubat and Cathy Wilson, all of Winder.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, at 2 p.m., at Barrow Worship Center, with the Rev. Charles Reese and speaker Janie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
