Reba Owens

WINDER - Reba McDonald Owens, 91, died Sunday, March 29, 2009.

A native and lifelong resident of Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Alphie Wall McDonald. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Owens, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a retiree of H. & H. Manufacturing Company of Statham.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Owens Sr. and Virginia Owens, Winder; grandson, Eddie Owens Jr., and Debora Owens, Durham, N.C.; and great-granddaughter, Elena Owens, Durham, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dave Fahner and Reba Martin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 30, from 5 to 9 p.m.
