Rachel McEver

PENDERGRASS – Rachel Ann Braselton McEver, 89, died Thursday, March 19, 2009.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Nolan and Annie McDonald Braselton. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Pendergrass Baptist Church. Mrs. McEver was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carter McEver; sisters, Louise and Madeline; and a brother, Joe.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Donald McEver, Atlanta, Jimmy and Dorothy McEver and David and Nancy McEver, all of Talmo, Rob and Beth McEver, Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Russ McEver, Mark McEver, Meredith McEver, Sandi McEver, Drew McEver, Matt McEver and Billy McEver; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia McEver.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, at 2 p.m., at the Pendergrass Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Jenkins and Kevin Burgess officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe McMullen, Bill Braselton, John Braselton, Hugh Freeman, Russ McEver and Mark McEver. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
