HOSCHTON – Mary O. Huckleberry, 86, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, following an extended illness.
She was a native of Newhall, W.Va., and had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the United States Army, where she served as a nurse.
Survivors include children and spouses, Charles J. Huckleberry Jr. and Beth, Tucker, Elaine Huckleberry, Birmingham, Ala., and Paul and Lisa Huckleberry, Hoschton; grandchildren, Jenny Burge, Amy Vickrey, Zachary Huckleberry and Reid Huckleberry; great-grandchildren, Lydia Burge, Bill Burge, Libby Vickrey and Collin Vickrey; sisters and brother-in-law, June Christian, Va., Carole Burress, Ohio, Violet and Claude Hampton, Kansas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Betty Ann Christian, Tennessee, Philip and Kay Christian, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m., at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain with the Rev. Don Wade officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.
