GAINESVILLE – Willonell Martin Patton, 88, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John and Myra Brooks Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Troy B. Patton, Gainesville; daughter, Mary Patton Jacobs, Gainesville; brothers, Winburn Martin, Gainesville, Harold Dean Martin, Winder; sisters, Inez Allison, Flowery Branch, Hazel Martin, Gaynelle Wheeler, and Carolyn Martin, all of Braselton; granddaughter, Michelle Santiago, Slidell, La.; and great-grandchild, Alisha Ross.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Wards Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Carter officiating. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, at the funeral home, from 6 to 8 p.m.
