WINDER – Chris Barnette, 49, died Sunday, March 15, 2009.
Born in Winder, he was the son of Louise Barnette of Winder and the late Harold Eugene Barnette. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winder.
Survivors include a son, Logan Barnette, Winder; brother, Donald Barnette, Winder; and sisters, Shirley Hardage, Watkinsville, and Melissa Foster, Goldsburg, N.C.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 10 a.m., at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Myron Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chris Barnette Memorial Fund at The Peoples Bank in Winder.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.

To Chris' family I am so sorry for your loss. I do know some of the family and I know their pain is so bad at this time but God will heal and Keep you safe is my prayer to you. May God be with each one of yu.
