Caroline Phillips Bagwell, 19, of Cornelia, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
She was the daughter of Don and Mary Margaret Bagwell of Cornelia. In a life that ended too soon, she took every opportunity to express and receive love genuinely and generously in every relationship of her life.
Caroline was a person who could not be contained. Even as a child, she had tremendous self-confidence with inexhaustible energy and a strong drive to have fun, make good things happen, and follow her personal agenda to get things done. Her intuition made her a skilled writer, even in high school, and her ability to express herself beautifully was a tremendous asset in the fullness and the honesty of her relationships.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include a sister and brother-in-law, Leigh and Jake Scroggs, Royston; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Mary McElmurray, Hephzibah; paternal grandparents, the Rev. Leland Bagwell and Alice Bagwell, Cleveland.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 2 p.m., at the Cornelia United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., and immediately following the service on Wednesday in the fellowship hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Shepherd Spinal Center Foundation, 2020 Peachtree Rd., NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30309.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, is in charge of arrangements.
