ROYSTON – Judge Holder Royston Jr., 88, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Franklin County on May 17, 1920, he was the son of the late Judge Holder Royston Sr. and Lona Elizabeth Roach Royston. He was a retired supervisor in the trucking industry, and was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Mr. Royston was preceded in death by his wife, Eulala Walters Royston; son, Jimmy Royston; and brother, Darwin Royston.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Dove, Royston; sons, Bobby Royston and Eddie Royston, Royston; sister, Evelyn Banks, Carnesville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 12, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Truitt Brawner, Reggie Vaughn and Tony Royston officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens-South.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
