Myra Elizabeth McFarlin, 85, of Toccoa, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa.
She was born on December 5, 1922, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Beulah Caudell McFarlin. She was a retired teacher, having taught in the Franklin, Jackson and Stephens County school systems and was a member of the Union Ground Christian Church. Mrs. McFarlin was preceded in death by a brother, Woodson L. McFarlin Sr.
Survivors include a sister, Agatha Payne, Homer; two nephews; and a niece.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 15, at B.D. Ginn Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
B.D. Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, was in charge of arrangements.
