MAYSVILLE – Codie Nathan Stiwinter, 24, died Friday, February 27, 2009, from injuries received in an accident.

He was the son of James Henson and Cheryl Stiwinter of Maysville, and was a 2003 graduate of Jackson County Comprehensive High School.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include grandmother, Lucile Crain, Maysville; brother, Tobie D. Stiwinter, Maysville; and sister, Julie C. Stiwinter, Winder.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Gainesville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

we knew him very well and want to send our condolences to his momma cheryl we love you and will be praying for your family We LOVE Codie and miss him very much he will be in our hearts forever and will be missed deeply he was such a sweet person and alway made you laugh no matter what the sircumstances was and he was a goof ball and would give you the shirt off his back and he loved kids very much he was always great with ours we love you Codie and we know you will be looking down on us from heaven. take care of our baby Tayler while you are up there we love you all

It doesn't seem real just the other day we was talking at the store about old times and now you are gone! You will be missed dearly by all!! I know you are in heaven playing baseball with all of gods angels and with coach donnie jacks helping you out i will see you soon and we will win another championship up on gods fields! It has been a sad time in our community since we have lost one of our neighbors. We regretfuly learned of Codie's tragic death last Fri. night and our hearts/prayers go out to his family. Our family has lived in the same neighborhood Codi lived in for many years and we got to enjoy watching Codi grow up from a young boy into a man. He used to come to our home when he was going to school to enjoy spending time with some of our family members he attended school with. Codi was a "Good Kid" and he was well liked. We will all miss seeing him around our neighborhood. And his memories that filled this area will never be forgotten.
It doesn't seem right that Codi's not here and I know that oneday we will be reunited with him for eternity.To: Codi's family we wanted to let you guys know that we are here for you during your time of need and you are consantly in our hearts,thaughts and prayers.

To the family of a great person,and friend and his was my Teddy Bear,I only known Codie for about 3 yrs but for the short, time I known him was great,he add a lots of laughs fun times for me.He could take a really,bad day and make it great with his laughs and that big smile,and jokes. I will never forget the times we had and he never be forgotten.God has a plan for him and he will still be smiling,I pray for the family my prayes go out to you.God Bless Each Of You And take care

Codie was my best friend and i loveed him more than words can say he was my world and i was his we talked everyday on the phone not a day went by that i didnt hear his voice we had a friendship no one could ever relate to. I love him withall my heart and i always will i will never forget the times we shared together. He was my everything. I Love You Codie Always & Forever Baby!!!

Codie was not only my best friend, but was also like my brother. I was not there to say good bye; I will never forget that. I will never forget the good times we had parting like a rockstar! we were together all the time before i jioned the army. when i left home i never thought it would be the last time seeing my bro, but it was and its painful but he will always be with me in my heart. I LOVE YOU BRO AND I MISS YOU!!!

Codie, was my cousin..but more like my big brother! i miss him so so much..he looked out for me, jonathon and joe! we all took it very hard..jonathon was so heartbroken! codie played a BIG role in all of our lives..he will NEVER be 4gotten!! people did him wrong but he always manage to smile..and brighten my day!
i love u codie..i miss u so much! i'll be with u soon!! keep looking out for me!!

I miss you so much teddy. Its been 4 months since you have been gone. and its still so hard. People didnt recognize how much you were a blessing. But like i told you when you were here no one could take the place of my teddy. James,Craig,Jeff and all of us miss you so much. Just wished you had time for one more beer. I will always love you. Codie was not only a friend but a brother to me and others out there that knew him longer than me. He was a blessing to everyone that knew him. He's loved and will be missed! I love u and miss u so much! Love Kayla!

odie was a really incredible young man, he just had a really freindly spirit in him, I loved him so much and enjoyed his friendship without measure. they say the good die young, this is so true, I think of codie alot, and will always miss him, the membrs in his family are still in my prayers, codies mom, I love you too Tobie, God bless you.

Codie was a really good person. When my friend called me up and told he was killed I cried for 3 days straight. It's really sad to see one of your close friends go so young... I know that Codie is in a better place. I know that all those body aches that he told me about he is not hurting anymore. I also know that Codie is looking down on me and telling me not to cry anymore but it is so had because he was a really sweetheart. RIP Codie me and Kayla miss you so much. It's been 7 months since you left us. I hope you know you Codie that me and kayla love you... Keep watching over me honey. and guide me in the right direction...
