ATHENS - Louise Cole Manders, 89, formerly of Winder, died Friday, February 27, 2009.

A native of Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Dellie Mae Manders Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Manders Sr.; son, Robert Samuel Manders; and daughter, Dorothy Lou Manders.
Survivors include daughter, Jane Manders, Athens; sons, John Manders, Statham, and George Manders, Winder; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home, with the Revs. Hal Tapp and John Burchfield officiating. Burial will be in Carter Hill Christian Church Cemetery.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
