JEFFERSON – Ray Harold “Grandpa Ray” Warner, 66, died Thursday, February 26, 2009.
A native of Springfield, Mass., residing in Georgia since the early seventies, he was the son of Donald Warner of The Villages, Fla., and the late Lucille Warner. He was an active dedicated, baptized servant of Jehovah, attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jefferson.
Survivors in addition to his father, include his wife, Deborah Warner; sons, Chester and Chapin Warner; daughters, Cheri Sridej, Cindi Wilson; a daughter raised as his own, Wendy Wiggins; long-time friend (daughter), April Shelton; two sisters; one brother; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law, 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Jay Jones serving as officiator. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens in Jefferson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
