COLBERT – Drue Faye S. Harrison, 92, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at Bell Minor Nursing Home.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Grady and Martha Patterson Scarborough. She was retired from General Motors Lakewood Assembly Plant after 40 years, where she worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma S. Riggs, Dorothy Mae Scarborough; brothers, John David Scarborough, Sam Joe Scarborough, Asa Candler Scarborough, Luther Lamar Scarborough and Kendal Grady Scarborough.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Faye Summerville; sister, Willie S. Fortson; brother, Buddy C. Scarborough; and grandchildren, William E. Summerville and Audra Faye Summerville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m., at Bluestone Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Jenkins, George Lovely and Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
