EASTANOLLEE – Martha Ethelyn Peace, 84, died Monday, February 23, 2009.
Born on December 8, 1924, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Miles Ray and Gladys Pressley Fulghum. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Peace was preceded in death by siblings, Eva Jean Bennett, Howard Fulghum, Ray Fulghum, Elizabeth Wells and Joyce Bennett.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Peace; sons, Calvin Peace, Anderson, S.C., Curtis Peace, Mulberry, Fla., and Randy Peace, Manassas, Va.; daughters, Yvonne Sosby, Commerce, Mary Peace Ayers, Cornelia; sister, Edna Sue Elrod, Eastanollee; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, at B.D. Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery.
Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, was in charge of arrangements.
