WINDER - Beatrice E. Pinkston, 83, died Thursday, February 19, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Audrey Davis Everett. She was preceded in death by husbands, Otis Baughcum and Leon Tkalec Sr.; and children Betty Jean Baughcum, Corine Cox and Randal Tkalec. Mrs. Pinkston was a retired spinner for the cotton mill and a biscuit maker at LaFaye’s Restaurant.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Mae Baughcum, Earl and Kathy Baughcum, Ray and Melissa Baughcum, Richaro Baughcum, all of Winder, Tony and Pam Baughcum, Bethlehem, Richard Baughcum, Leon Tkalec Jr., and Joe Tkalec, all of Winder; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bud Kitchens, Nicholson, Bertha and Grady Lee, Braselton, Barbara and Jimmy Broome, Columbus, Marie and Steve Wilson, Winder, and Sharron and Scott Green, Monroe; 38 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Brown and Betty Haynie, both of Winder.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 21, at Smith Memory Chapel, with the Revs. Ollie V. Hayes and Chris Church officiating. Burial was in Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
