Jeffery Davis

CLEVELAND - Jeffery Porter Davis, 45 died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was the son of the late Coy and Meldred Meeks Davis. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by brothers, Dan Davis and Jerome Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Trella Renee Davis, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Kent and Louise Davis, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jesse, Jasmine and Joshua; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mazel and Edward Garrison, Robin and Doug Chitwood, all of Lula, Joyce and Bruce Peyton, Alto, and Melody Wilson, Clarkesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Glenda Davis, Talmo, Dwayne and Janet Davis, Dahlonega.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 15, from White Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Alexander, Eddie Tanner and Randy Irvin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday 6 to 9 p.m.

Alexander Funeral Home, Cleveland, is in charge of arrangements.
