WINDER – Thelma R. Carlson, 85, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
Born in Sanford, Fla., she was the daughter of the late William I. and Blanche S. Stringer. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Duane A. Carlson; and a brother, Billy Stringer.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry L. and Gail Sher, Tucker; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara S. and William Collins, Bogart; grandchildren and spouses, Connie and Todd Alewine, Tara and Rusty Mote, Keith and Terri Rutledge, and Greg Collins; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Stringer.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 13, at 11 a.m., at Barrow Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lester Hall officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
