WINDER – Catherine Coleman, 89, died Monday, February 2, 2009.
She was a graduate of the Grady School of Nursing, an officer in the United States Army, and spent 40 years in the nursing field in the Roswell and Cumming areas. Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar “Hobo” Coleman; and a daughter, Bonnie Rose Woodman.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Laura Coleman, Gainesville; brothers, Gene Jenkins, Dawsonville, Bruce Jenkins, Atlanta; grandsons, Jerome and Brian; granddaughters, Kelly, Robin and Brandi; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 5, in the chapel of Northside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was at Green Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Northside Chapel Funeral Home, Roswell/Alpharetta, was in charge of arrangements.
