ROYSTON – Ronald Edwin Carey, 54, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Franklin County on February 4, 1955, he was the son of the late Edwin Burke and Sara Gladys Carey Carey. He was a contractor, having worked in the construction industry, and also attended the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Carey, Royston; daughters, Ronda Dee Carey and Sara Marie Carey, both of Royston; brother, Brent Carey, Royston; sisters, Dawn Malcom and Lois Bowers, both of Royston, and Gail Harris, Dacula; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, at 11 a.m., in the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Brian David, Allen Carmichael and Raymond Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Cary Memorial Gardens in the Sandy Cross Community.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
