Virlyn Theola Henson, 86, of Washington, died Sunday, June 8, 2008.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James David and Jessie Bell Gordon Meadow. She was a former resident of Statham and Colbert, and was a retired beautician. She was a member of Colbert Methodist Church and was a skilled craftsman, making quilts and porcelain dolls. Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband, Grey Henson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Howard and Janie Henson, Washington; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 10, at Evergreen Memorial Park.
