COMMERCE – Oscar Junior Roach, 73, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Lucille Brock Roach. He was Baptist and was retired from Aztec Chemicals.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Roach, Commerce; daughter, Sandra Haggard, Commerce; son, David Roach, Maysville; brother, Leon Roach, Sandy Cross; sisters, Evelyn Adams, Toccoa, and Bill Jordan, Royston; sisters-in-law, Betty Cody, Maysville, and Peggy Hardigree, Danielsville; brother-in-law, Ricky Adams, Commerce; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Hardigree and Kevin Denton officiating. Burial will be in the Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BJC Foundation.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
