BOWMAN – Walter “Walt” Brown, 82, died Thursday, January 29, 2009.
Born in Elbert County, he was the son of the late John H. and Essie Evans Brown.
Survivors include a son, Randy Brown, Bowman; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Evans, Bowman, Linda and Tony Alford, Carlton; sister, Mildred Roling, Lavonia; former wife of 19 years, Janice Elgin, Canon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton, is in charge of arrangements.
