Betty Ann McDaniel

Betty Ann McDaniel, 64, of Winterville, died Monday, June 9, 2008.

A native of Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Winona Duncan Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. McDaniel Jr.; sisters, Lillian Jones and Ethel Bridges; and brothers, Billy Jones and Grady Jones.

Survivors include her companion, Charles Lester, Nicholson; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Catherine McDaniel, Crawford; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Darrell McElreath, Danielsville; siblings, Vivian Bradberry, Athens, Frances and Eugene Burkhalter, Winterville, Robert Jones, Danielsville, Charles and Mildred Jones and Clifford and Effie Jones, Lynda and Walter Smith and Carol Porterfield, all of Winterville, Paul and Vi Jones, Watkinsville, Dot Lovett, Jefferson; sister-in-law, Melba Jones, Nicholson; grandchildren, Jamie, Jason and Jessica.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Wiley Carney officiating. Burial was in Arnoldsville Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews, Jeff Jones, Steve Jones, Chris Jones, Matt Jordan, Shawn Loden and Steve Carter.
