JEFFERSON – Doris Marie Garrett, 94, died Monday, January 26, 2009, at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Home in Cumming.
She was a 65-year member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margie Boggs, Jefferson; brother, Reid Abernathy, Burlington, N.C.; sister, Mae Shelton, Danville, Va.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, January 28, at Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery in Alpharetta.
Byars Funeral Home, Cumming, was in charge of arrangements.
