DANIELSVILLE – W.G. “Red” Casper, 73, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late James Truman and Cora Maudeen Jackson Casper. He was the manager of the Magnolia Station in Athens for a number of years.
Survivors include daughters, Paula Caudell, Danielsville, and Wendy Daniel, Colbert; sons, Mark Rice, Jeff Rice and Grayson Casper, all of Danielsville; sister, Ann Finch, Athens; brother, Gene Casper, Nicholson; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. David Carey officiating. Burial will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
