JACKSON COUNTY – Charles Daniels, 76, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
A lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was born on April 30, 1932, the son of Nathaniel and Blanch Daniels. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church and was employed with CSX Railroad for 30 years. Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Maude L. Daniels; sons, Craig Daniels, Jerome Yarbrough, Virgil Yarbrough; daughters, Sophia (Bobby Sr.) Louis and Annette Yarbrough; brothers, Horace Daniels Sr., Tony (Bettye) Daniels; sisters, Anne Borders, Katherine Green, Mary Bell and Agnus Rucker; granddaughter, Tanique Sullivan; grandsons, Chavis, Bobby Jr. (Jovona), Jemoey, Tevin and Jarrett; special friends, William (Anne) Hargrove, Jack (Christine) Banks, Jackie (Gloria) McClusky, Clarence Maddox; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 19, at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with Jerome Yarbrough, Bobby Ray Daniels and the Revs. Julius Mack and J.B. Nuckolls officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Forestglen Mortuary, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
