ATHENS – Richard Lee Mason, 48, died Saturday, January 24, 2009.
Born in Winter Garden, Fla., he was the son of Robert Lee Mason and step-mother, Rachel, of Covington, and Patricia Barnes Mason of Athens. He was an apartment maintenance supervisor and member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Mason was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lianne Mason.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Janet Keeling Mason; children, Victoria, Sarah and Savannah Mason; sisters and brother-in-law, Debbie and John Williams, Winder, Bonnie Mason, Athens, and Elizabeth Mason, Covington.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 1, at 3 p.m., at Edwards Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Goodman officiating.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
