WINDER - June ‘Momma’ Murphy, 63, died Thursday, January 22, 2009.
Born in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Gene Sanders and Juanita Moon Pope. She had worked as a lab technician at George H. Lanier Hospital and at Lab Corp, and was a manager at Smith Kline.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Murphy, Winder; daughters, Angela Hayes, Gainesville, Rhonda Meadows, DeVille, Ala., Melissa White, Roswell, and Tandi Murphy Hall, Athens, seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Pope, Valley, Ala.
A private memorial service is planned.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
