Edd Davis, 83, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Claude B. and Novie Turpin Davis. He was retired from Jefferson Mills and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Davis, Jefferson; a sons, Edward Davis Jr. and Allan Davis, both of Athens; brother, John Davis, Hull; sisters, Hazel Smith, Roberta Wood and Claudia Chastain, all of Jefferson; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 12, at 10 a.m., at Jackson Memorial Gardens conducted by Scott Martin.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
