Estelle Marie Denton

HOMER – Estelle Marie Haynes Denton, 78, died Sunday, January 25, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Willie Mae Sears Haynes, and was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Denton; brothers, Oscar Haynes and James Haynes; and a sister, Virginia Puckett.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence Thomas and Sandra Denton, Homer; daughter and son-in-law, June and Paul Williamson, Homer; daughter and son-in-law, Laverne and Larry Barrett, Jefferson; brother, Pete Haynes, Commerce; sister, Jean Hooper, Commerce; grandchildren, Lacy Turpin, Joey Barrett, Christopher Williamson, Matthew Barrett (Casey Hill), Ashley Denton and Mike Williamson; great-grandchildren, Jackson Turpin, Wyatt Turpin, Lauren Barrett, Cason Barrett, Jennifer Williamson and Cynthia Williamson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
