COMMERCE – Robert E. Johnson Sr., 94, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Tucker Johnson, Commerce; son and daughter-in-law, R.E. and Patricia Cobb Johnson, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and John B. Davis, Blue Ridge; sisters, Laverne Brewer and Vivian Johnson, both of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
