MONROE – Daisy S. Capes, 92, formerly of Hoschton, died Saturday, January 17, 2009.
Born in Walton County, she the daughter of the late James Clark and Lindy Reeves Sorrells. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Capes, was a retiree of Cherokee Manufacturing Company, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betty Capes, Hoschton, Jerry and Carolyn Capes, Monroe; grandchildren, Craig T. Capes and Christie Stewart; great-granddaughter, Ally Stewart.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 19, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Revs. Robbie Black and Truman Humphries officiating. Burial was in Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
