AUBURN – Carol Sue Sexton Murray, 45, died Thursday, January 15, 2009.
Born on June 15, 1963, she was the daughter of the Rev. Clinton Sexton and Martha Payton Sexton of Commerce. She was a medical records coder at Emory Eastside Hospital in Snellville and was a member of the Hospital Relay for Life Team. She was a born again Christian and attended the Twelve Stone Church. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Murray; and brother, Elden Sexton.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include children, Heather Marie Murray and T.J. Murray, both of Auburn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Jerry Fields, Jefferson, Wanda and Darry Bennett, Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Dorothy Sexton, Jefferson, Johnny and Lisa Puckett, Lawrenceville, Randy Puckett, Flowery Branch, the Rev. Cory Sexton and Karla Sexton, Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 18, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Clinton Sexton and Cory Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Jackson Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers were T.J. Murray, Randy Puckett, Steve Fields, Johnny Puckett, Earl Sexton, Jerry Fields and Darry Bennett.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
