COMMERCE – Carolyn Davis, 68, died Sunday, January 18, 2009.
A native of Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Emory Wade and Minnie Lee Jones Gunter. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethlehem First Baptist Church, and was a former Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a son, Jody Davis, Dacula; daughter, Tina Burge, Bucyrus, Ohio; brothers, Edward Ray Gunter, Braselton, Larry Ralph Gunter, Royston; sisters, Frances Sullen, Braselton, Ann Doster and Debbie Gunter, both of Hoschton, Shirley Pruitt, Commerce; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Louis Gaddis officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
