SNELLVILLE – Albert C. Auttonberry, 81, died Friday, January 16, 2009, following an extended illness.
Born in Louisiana, he lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 11 years and was formerly employed as a sales manager with Millen Industries. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific theater.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Auttonberry, Snellville; daughter and son-in-law, June and Richard Vancil, Snellville; grandchildren, Richard D. Vancil and wife, Jennifer, St. Louis, Allison and Dr. Brian Douglas, Hoschton, Ronald A. Vancil, Snellville; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Beluah Mae Martin, California, Lois Mae Zimmer, Louisiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Faye Auttonberry and Louis and Lori Auttonberry, all of Louisiana.
Graveside services were held Monday, January 19, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens in Buford with the Rev. Bruce Hardy officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, was in charge of arrangements.
