JEFFERSON – Clarence Lamar Luke Jr., 62, died Saturday, January 17, 2009.
Born on May 28, 1946, in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Clarence Lamar Luke Sr. and Louise Gunter Luke. He was a brick mason and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Partin Luke, Jefferson; sisters, Connie Booth, Danielsville, Ann Foster, Sandy Cross, and Shirley Webb, Winder; raised in the home, Mike and Sonja Partin, Commerce; and grandchildren, Kaylee and Morgan Partin.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 19, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Kesler and Clarke Kesler officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens. Honored pallbearers were Mark Gunter, Toby Gunter, Todd Foster, Mike Partin, Ricky Dills and Robbie Childs.
