DANIELSVILLE – Frank Broadnax, 77, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
Born on April 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Eugene Brookins and Susie Johnson Broadnax, and was a resident of Madison County for 38 years. He was a wood restoration master craftsman and also an author. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was Baptist, and was music director for several local churches in the area, Ila Baptist, Danielsville Baptist, Comer Baptist, Maysville Baptist, Holy Springs Baptist in Bowman, Pleasant Grove in Neece, Arnoldsville Baptist, and Central Baptist.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Rhonda Smith Broadnax; sons, Mark Broadnax and Barry Broadnax; daughter, Erica Broadnax Pauly; brother, Leamon Broadnax; sister, Marree Eskew; grandchildren, Anna, Kate, Seth and Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Dayton Logan officiating. Burial will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 16, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Moses Griswald Jr., David Broadnax, John Ray Howell, Gary Dean Johnson, Jerome Howell and Glen Howell. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Howell.
Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
