ROYSTON – John Paul Weaver, 74, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.
Born in Hart County on June 20, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert and Anzibell Whiten Weaver. He was a retired auto body shop repairman, owner of John’s Body Shop and was Baptist. Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Weaver and Joe Weaver; and sisters, Doris James and M.B. James.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Stewart Berryman and Christie and Gary Dove, all of Royston; sister, Bobbie Woodall, Bowman; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Wood and James Gunn officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens – South.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
