TALLAHASSE, FLA. - Michael Scott Hansen, 33, died on Tuesday January 6, 2009. He was born January 1, 1976, in Atlanta, the son of Butch (Margaret Syribeys) Hansen of Pendergrass, and the late Mary Anne Hansen. He grew up in Roswell and Cumming. He shined through athletics in high school earning him many honors on the gridiron. Academic days complete, Scott began an award filled sales management career in the automotive industry.
Survivors in addition to his father and step-mother, include his wife, Karen Peterson, Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter, Taylor Leigh Hansen, Tallahassee, Fla.; sister, Meg Hansen (Mike) Scaff, Cumming; brothers, Bill (Kimberly) Hansen, Ft. Bragg, N.C., Dwight (Sherri) Hansen, Braselton, Peter (Vivian) Syribeys, Paul (Beth) Syribeys and Philip (Lauren) Syribeys, all of Atlanta; mother-in-law, Carolyn Peterson, Tallahassee, Fla.; brother-in-law, Bobby (Nancy) Peterson, Tallahassee, Fla.; nephews, Charlie Peterson, Dave Scaff, Christopher Eagan and John Syribeys; nieces, Claire Eagan, Bailey Peterson, Emily Eagan, Lexi Hansen Mackenzie Scaff, Margeaux Scaff, Marline Syribeys, Diana Syribeys and Jacqueline Syribeys.
Memorial services were held Friday, January 9, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
